Nov New 2023
November 1, 2023
November 1st, the first wish day (111). That's what they say anyway. And if you're wishing for a great deal, well do I have news for you! Into the Marrow is available on Amazon Kindle for a limited time pre-order deal of $1.99. Now is the time to get the second book in the Leroy Cutter series for your Kindle. The price goes up to $4.99 on November 7th, so don't wait too long.
For readers that love the feel and smell of a book, I have some exciting news. Barnes & Noble informed me that Into the Marrow will be on their shelves. Can I get a hell yeah? Makes for a great day when one of the largest brick and mortar bookstores gives you a heads up. Why is it such a big deal? I'm an indie author, meaning I don't have a large publishing house behind me. I plan all marketing. B&N is the result of endless hustling. Though, if you find yourself in a B&N and they don't have Into the Marrow on the shelf, ask them to order a copy. Keep them honest for me.
In case you missed it, The Sinful is available as an audiobook. Nico Fragoso did a fantastic job narrating. If you love a good audiobook that keeps you on your toes, check out The Sinful on Audible and iTunes.
Finally, if you're on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Threads, TicTok (I think that's all of them), pop on over and give me a follow. I'm pretty active and funny. That's what I tell my wife anyway. She says I'm an idiot. We agree to disagree.
I'd love to hear from all of you on any of those time wasters. Anything that keeps me from actually working, I just love. Honestly, though, I do enjoy hearing from readers. Sometimes, I may take a few days to get back to you. After all, I'm busy writing a book. It's hard and it takes a long time. Have you ever tried to write a novel? So many words.
That's it from my side of reality. Hope everyone had a spooky Halloween. There's snow on the ground here in Michigan today. I still got out of bed. The gray months have now come upon us. Fair warning, I tend to get melancholy this time of year. I'll try not to let it spill over into the newsletter, but no promises. If you get one that talks about how terrible everything in the world is, just ignore it.
Speaking of how terrible the world is, Frank Zappa said it best way back in the 70s, man.
"None of us have the promise of tomorrow. God forbid this is my last day on this beautiful earth, but it won't be spent listening to some news person telling me how rotten we are, how rotten life is. Heck no, I'm going out and seeing how beautiful life is. As humans, our time on this planet is very limited... Turn off, tune out and turn on your life. Peace."
He also said,
"The bassoon is my favorite instrument."
I thought it important to share both sides of this animal, so you can make an informed decision as to whether to muse the thoughts of Zappa.
Have a great November! Pre-order your Kindle version of Into the Marrow. Get that Christmas shopping done early, too. Buy books!
Peace,
GW Allison
